Outer East Foodshare Inc (OEF) is a local not-for-profit organisation run by a volunteer board. We commenced operations in 2013 with food deliveries once every fortnight and now have the equivalent of over 30 deliveries per week.

We provide a conduit between food rescue organisations, and a number of local emergency food relief agencies (EFRA) within Melbourne Outer East region. 

Currently OEF is servicing agencies in Yarra Ranges, Knox and Maroondah municipalities

We source food from a variety of places including Foodbank Victoria, Oz Harvest, Secondbite, Fareshare, supermarkets (Costco and Coles) and local food producers.

Last year we distributed over 186,000kg of food to over 40 relief agencies.  We have a small distribution centre in Wantirna – which we call The Hub.

It is a thriving centre of activity when food arrives and is checked, sorted and collated ready for our agencies to collect or for us to deliver.

We have over 50 dedicated volunteers that are involved in several activities including:
